MODUS Super Series darts returns to Portsmouth on Monday for Week Six of Series 15, with twelve players across three groups looking to punch their ticket for Saturday’s finale, and ultimately, a place in Champions Week.
Derek Coulson headlines Group A on name alone. The Welshman finally landed his first Champions Week title this year at the age of 58, a breakthrough MODUS Super Series chief Chris Murphy described as the culmination of “seven Champions Weeks, six Champions Nights” of near misses.
Coulson’s weekly form has been a fixture of the last few Series at the Live Lounge, and Group A gives him an immediate chance to add to his tally of wins in Portsmouth.
He won’t have it easy against Jamai van den Herik, a fellow weekly winner in Series 13 back in April who took a mixed group stage all the way to the title over Adrian Gray and remains one of the field’s most dangerous prospects.
James Hubbard offers a different kind of pedigree in Group A. The Red Dragon player and Norfolk thrower is a PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship winner, having beaten Michael van Gerwen in the 2012 final at the O2.
Patrick Dekker, Gary Mawson, and Ally Pally hero David Munyua makes his return to the Super Series to complete a group stacked with recent group-phase experience.

Group B brings together John O’Shea, Ram Guevara and George Killington. Killington, a former two-time PDC Tour Card holder known as the “Killer”, will fancy his chances of adding a maiden MSS weekly title to a CV that already includes back-to-back UK Open last-64 runs.
Group C, though, has the standout storyline of the week. Kevin Painter, Kevin Edwards and Kevin Lane, three Kevins sharing a group and a first name that’s produced no shortage of darting pedigree over the years.
Painter needs little introduction, as the 2004 World Championship runner-up is still a class act whenever he steps up to the oche. Edwards arrives with recent MSS finals-night experience behind him, having gone all the way to a finals night as recently as this year.
