Hungary’s Top Eight Play For Ally Pally Place

Play The Pro Darts Scorer

After 24 events throughout 2026, the Hungarian Super League came to a close over the weekend, with the final four titles going to László Ancsin, Richárd Balogh, and two for Order of Merit leader Patrik Kovács.

The top eight on the Order of Merit qualify for the Super League Finals, which takes place on Saturday 31st, with a spot at the World Championships on the line for the winner.

The draw is as follows:

(1)Patrik Kovács v Péter Kelemen (8)
(4)András Borbély v György Jehirszki (5)
(2)László Ancsin v Nándor Major (7)
(3)Pál Székely v Zsolt Csajbók (6)

Kovács will come into the event as by far the most experienced, which he solidified by taking six of the titles on offer in Budapest this year.

He won last year, securing a spot at a first PDC World Championship, which he followed up by qualifying for two European Tour’s in 2026 through the East European qualifiers. This added to his previous six European Tour appearances, having made his debut in 2018, along with qualification for the Lakeside World Championships in 2023 and 2024. He has also represented Hungary at the World Cup a total of five times, including this year.

Second seed László Ancsin, on the other hand, is incredibly inexperienced.

He has never qualified for a European Tour, or a major event in either the PDC or WDF. A very similar situation to that of Zsolt Csajbók, who has had his breakthrough year in Hungary.

Pál Székely returned to the World Cup of Darts in 2026 after his exploits on the Challenge Tour, returning for the first time since his debut in 2019.

The school teacher has also qualified for two European Tours, coming in 2019, and through the host nation qualifiers in 2022.

Potentially the most exciting player in Hungary, 21-year-old András Borbély will be looking to make his PDC Premier Event debut in December, having impressed on his three European Tour appearances over the last 15 months, joined with his debut in 2022 aged just 17.

György Jehirszki is one of the more experienced players in the field, having qualified for four European Tour events since making his debut in 2024. He also represented the nation in the World Cup in 2025, joined with Gergely Lakatos.

Nándor Major is also an experienced name in Hungary. Having qualified for the Hungarian Darts Trophy in three of the last four years, plus Kiel this year, Major will be looking to join his 2024 World Cup appearance with a World Championship debut this year.

Finally, Péter Kelemen is another exiting name to look out for. Having reached finals this year on the Development Tour, the 21-year-old made his European Tour debut in Slovakia this year, and impressed, as well as taking part in the World Youth Championship earlier this month.

The finals is always a dramatic day in Budapest, especially with it being so tough to call a winner with the improving standard in the nation.
