Alan Tabern and Chas Barstow took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day 1 of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Josh Payne in the Saturday’s finale at the Online Darts Live League.
Tabern, who entered Group C having finished bottom of Group A earlier in the week, won four of his five matches to take the early lead, as he recorded victories over Daniel Day, Andy Jenkins, Scott Walters and Kai Fan Leung, with his only defeat coming against David Wawrzewski.
Elsewhere, three players in Kai Fan Leung, David Wawrzewski and Andy Jenkins all ended the day with 6 points each, with Fan Leung sitting in 2nd with a higher leg difference between the trio, as Scott Walters sits in 5th on 4 points, but it was a disappointing return to the Live League for Daniel Day, who failed to register a victory, with five defeats from five.
In Group B, Chas Barstow took the early lead, as he won three of his four matches, in recording victories over Ryan Furness, Richard North and Scott Marsh, with his only defeat coming against James Richardson.
Elsewhere, Scott Marsh also ended the night with three wins from four, with James Richardson sitting in 3rd on 4 points, as Richard North and Ryan Furness sit 4th and 5th respectively on 2 points each.
Online Darts Live League continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Josh Payne in Saturday’s finale, with taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
