Mike Warburton was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 2 at the Online Darts Live League, after defeating Robert Owen in the final and securing a place in Champions Week, with Lee Evans also advancing in winning the 3rd place playoff.
Warburton, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, won just one of his group phase matches, in defeating Andy Jenkins, before losing to Robert Owen. Warburton then progressed through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against David Pallett, and defeated Pallett 4-2 to book his place in the final and a spot at Champions Week, no matter the outcome of the decider.
In the final, Warburton came up against Robert Owen for the 2nd time on the night, and the Welshman got his revenge over his fellow countryman, in coming out a 4-2 victor to pick up the Week 2 crown at the Online Darts Live League.
Elsewhere, beaten Semi Finalists Lee Evans and David Pallett competed in a 3rd place playoff to see who would join Warburton and Owen in Champions Week, and it was Evans who progressed with a 4-0 whitewash win over Pallett.
Online Darts Live League returns on Tuesday with Week 3 commencing with the first of two days of Group A, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
