Josh Payne secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning three of his five matches, as Group A came to a close, with the fields being confirmed for Groups B and C of Week 2 at Phase 4 of the Online Darts Live League.
Payne, who entered Wednesday’s play in 2nd on 6 points from the opening day of Group A, won three of his five matches again to secure his place in the finale, after recording victories over Lisa Ashton, Matt Jackson and Graham Hall, with defeats coming against Kevin Painter and Colin Osborne, to end on 12 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Matt Jackson and Kevin Painter will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, with Jackson narrowly missing out on finishing 1st despite ending on 12 points, with Painter finishing on 10 points. The duo will be joined in Group B by Matthew Dennant, Lee Cocks and Darryl Pilgrim.
Graham Hall, Colin Osborne and Lisa Ashton will all compete in Group C, after the trio finished 4th, 5th and 6th respectively, with Hall ending on 10 points, as Osborne and Ashton ended on 8 points each. Joining the trio in Group C will be Conan Whitehead, David Pallett and Ryan Furness.
Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
