Lisa Ashton took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning four of her five matches, with the seventh week of Stage 1 commencing at the Modus Super Series.
4x Women’s World Champion Ashton, made her return to the Super Series, in taking the early lead in Group A, as she recorded victories over Dan Read, Alan Tabern, James Richardson and Justin Smith, with her only defeat coming against Graham Usher.
Elsewhere, James Richardson ended the day in 2nd on 6 points, with the four remaining players all sat on 4 points each, as Justin Smith sits in 3rd with a higher leg difference overall.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Ashton leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
