Girvan Sweeps Clean To Maintain Lead

Nathan Girvan maintained his position at the top of the table on Tuesday, after winning all five of his matches on Day 2 and looks set to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.

Girvan, who entered Tuesday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group A, won all five of his matches and is in the best place to secure an automatic spot into Saturday’s finale, as he recorded victories over Sebastian Bialecki, Jamie Kelling, Danny Lauby, Alec Small and Stefan Bellmont, dropping just seven legs on route and sits on 16 points from a possible 20.

Elsewhere, Danny Lauby currently sits in 2nd on 14 points, Sebastian Bialecki in 3rd on 12 points and the three remaining players in Kelling, Small and Bellmont all sit 4th, 5th and 6th respectively on 6 points each.

The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Girvan leading the way thus far. Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups in Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT on Wednesday and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
