Howson Maintains Super Series Lead

Richie Howson maintained his position at the top of the table on Tuesday, after winning four of his five matches on Day 2 and looks set to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.

Howson, who entered Tuesday’s play on 10 points from the opening day of Group A, won four matches from five to remain top of the table after two days of play, as he recorded victories over Andy Jenkins, Darren Johnson, Adam Mould and Peter Manley, with his only defeat coming against Martyn Turner, with ‘The Owl’ sitting on 18 points from a possible 20 thus far.

Elsewhere, both Martyn Turner and Adam Mould are the two competitors looking to leapfrog Howson at the top of the table going into the final day of Group A, as the duo sit 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Turner sat on 14 points and Mould on 12 points.

Darren Johnson and Andy Jenkins sit 4^th and 5^th on 8 points each, as Peter Manley remains bottom on 0 points, having suffered ten straight defeats thus far.

The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Howson leading the way thus far.

Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups for Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT on Wednesday and will be streamed live on The Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
