Norton Leads Friday's Five | Darts World Magazine

Mike Norton, Scott Taylor, Andy Boulton, Scott Walters and Alan Tabern all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Gary Stone, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.

Norton, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, won three matches from five to top the group overall, as he recorded victories over Lee Shewan, Martin Adams and Robert Rickwood, with his two defeats coming against Kevin Dowling and Scott Taylor, to end on 14 points from a possible 20.

Elsewhere, Scott Taylor also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2^nd overall on 14 points, finishing behind Norton on leg difference and edging out Lee Shewan, who also ended on 14 points, but missed out on leg difference. Elsewhere, Kevin Dowling finished 4^th on 10 points, Martin Adams in 5^th on 6 points and Robert Rickwood bottom on 2 points.

In Group B, Andy Boulton topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories over Ryan Palmer, Harry Ward, Alan Tabern and Scott Walters, to end on an incredible 16 points from 16.

Elsewhere, Scott Walters and Alan Tabern also progressed to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively, with Walters ending on 10 points and Tabern on 6 points, edging out Harry Ward, who also finished on 6 points, but missed out on leg difference, whilst Ryan Palmer finished bottom on 2 points.

The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 4 with the six players battling it out for just 1 spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
