Patrick Van den Boogaard was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 11 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Jarred Cole.
The Dutchman secures a place in Champions Week and wins the weekly £5,000 league prize.
Van den Boogaard, who entered Saturday’s finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly defeated Justin Hood, before losing out to John Henderson.
However, the Dutchman did progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Wesley Plaiser, and from there, he whitewashed his fellow compatriot, 4-0, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Van den Boogaard came up against Jarred Cole, who’d defeated John Henderson in a last leg decider in the Semi Finals, and from there, the Dutchman sealed a 4-2 victory against the Englishman to clinch his place in Champions Week and pick up the weekly £5,000 top prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 12, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
