Shropshire began their season in division three of the UKDA National League with a 19-17 home win over Gloucestershire which put them third in the divisional table with twenty-two points just four behind early leaders Breconshire.
This coming weekend Shropshire will be travelling north to take on Northumberland whose opening fixture saw them lose 21-15 away to second in the division Cumbria who with twenty-four points are two to the good on Shropshire and two behind Breconshire.
With Shropshire hoping to extend their record to two wins and the hosts seeking their first win it should be quite an entertaining fixture.
