Chris Landman was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Seven at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Ron Meulenkamp in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Landman, who entered the finale having finished 3rd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his group phase matches, as he defeated David Davies, before suffering a defeat to Darryl Pilgrim. However, The Dutchman did progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Paul Hogan, and from there, Landman defeated ‘Crocodile Dundee’ 4-3 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Landman came up against his fellow countryman, Ron Meulenkamp, who’d defeated Darryl Pilgrim in the last four, and once again, the WDF World Finalist came through a last leg decider to defeat his compatriot, 4-3, and seal his place in Champions Week, as well as picking up the £5,000 weekly first prize.
