Steve Brown took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with the maiden Double Trouble Week commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Brown, who last competed at the Super Series in January, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning four matches from five and recording victories against Neil Duff, Jim McEwan, Kevin Painter and Mark Dudbridge, with his only defeat coming against Robert Thornton, to end the day on 8 points from a possible 10.
Elsewhere, Robert Thornton also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Brown on leg difference, whilst Jim McEwan sits in 3rd on 6 points, Mark Dudbridge and Neil Duff sitting 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each and Kevin Painter bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Brown leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
