TOM Sykes took the early lead on Monday, ending Day One Top of Group A, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as Week One of Series Eight began at the MODUS Super Series.
Sykes, who last appeared at the Super Series back in April when he was as eries runner- up, made a perfect return by winning all five of his matches to take the early lead in Group A.
The 31-years-old defeated Michael Burgoine, Martin Adams, Revelino Dubois, Bradly Roes and Chris Gilliland, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Chris Gilliland ended the day 2nd on 8 points, whilst Martin Adams sits in 3rd on 6 points. The remaining three players in Bradly Roes, Michael Burgoine and Revelino Dubois sit 4th, 5th and 6th respectively on 2 points each in the table.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Tuesday with the 6 players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Sykes leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the MODUS YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
