Harrysson Joins Winmau

Red Dragon Darts

Winmau have added to their illustrious stable of darting talent with the in-form and popular Swede Andreas Harrysson becoming the latest talent to join.

In 2017, Harrysson became the Swedish champion for the first time, a title he successfully defended in 2018. That same year, he secured victories at the WDF Finnish Masters, the WDF Europe Cup Men’s Teams, and the Nordic Cup Pairs, further establishing his dominance on the international stage.

Fast forward to 2024, Harrysson made a strong impression on the European Tour with his third appearance at the Belgian Darts Open, where he delivered a commanding 6-1 victory over Gian van Veen in the first round, boasting an impressive average of 107.27.

In March, during Week 5 of the Modus Super Series 7, Harrysson set the bar high in Group A Session 1, recording a remarkable 117.88 average in a 4-0 win over Michael Burgoine. This performance propelled him to win the event, making him the second player in history to claim three MODUS Super Series weekly titles. This victory secured his place in the prestigious MODUS Super Series Champions Week, leading him to withdraw from the Nordic Cup to compete.

In May, Andreas’s exceptional form continued as he triumphed in the Modus Super Series 7 Champions Week, edging out Cameron Crabtree 4-3 in a thrilling final, where he clinched victory by finishing 121 on the bullseye in the deciding leg. His efforts were rewarded with a £25,000 prize.

Recently, Harrysson has signed with the leading darts management and events company, MODUS Sports Management. Terry Chapman of MODUS Sports Management expressed her excitement, stating, “Andreas is a talented player, and we are delighted to have him as part of MODUS Sports Management. The future for Andreas is bright, and we look forward to supporting him in many more victories.”

Winmau’s Marketing Director, Simon Hall, also shared his enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are excited to welcome Andreas to the Winmau family. We look forward to seeing where this new collaboration will take us.”
