Beau Greaves picked up her second title in as many days on Saturday at the PDC Winmau Challenge Tour, whilst Darius Labanauskas was also victorious, with the pair winning Events Three & Four respectively, as the opening weekend of the second-tier tour season continued in Milton Keynes.
Friday saw the 2025 PDC Challenge Tour season commence, with 2x Women’s World Matchplay champion, Greaves, and England’s Carl Sneyd achieving success in winning Events One & Two respectively.
Event Three saw Greaves claim yet another title, as she reached the final firstly by recording victories against Kyle Richardson, Tommy Lishman, Ricky Palmer, Andreas Harrysson, Luis Camacho, John O’Shea and Jimmy Van Schie, to set up a clash with Scotland’s John Henderson.
The final was completely dominated by the 3x Ladies World Champion, as she rattled off five successive legs to secure a whitewash victory, with winning legs coming in 15,17,15,13 and 14 darts respectively to seal a second title in three events as well as a further £2,500 in prize money.
In Event Four, Darius Labanauskas was victorious, with the Lithuanian reaching the final firstly by recording victories against Sean McKeon, Dean Finn Forde, Michel Unterbuchner, Trevor Burkhill, John Henderson, Adam Mould and Ted Evetts, to set up a clash with England’s Mervyn King.
The final began with Labanauskas pinning back-to-back 15 darters, before King fort back by rattling off three successive legs in 16,19 and 14 darts respectively to move 3-2 ahead in a race to five. Labanauskas then went on to three consecutive legs of his own, which saw him seal the victory in Leg Eight with a 16-dart hold of throw to pick up a maiden PDC title as well as the £2,500 top prize.
The PDC Winmau Challenge Tour weekend concludes on Sunday with Event Five taking place in Milton Keynes, as play commences from 10:00 GMT. All live scores and results to be viewed at tv.dartconnect.com
