Derek Coulson took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as Champions Week of Series Ten commenced at the Modus Super Series.
Coulson, who entered Champions Week having won Week Seven back in March, made a perfect return by winning all five of his matches, as he recorded victories against Scott Campbell, Jenson Walker, Alec Small, Mervyn King and Shane McGuirk, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Shane McGuirk ended the day in 2nd on 8 points, whilst Scott Campbell sits in 3rd on 6 points, Mervyn King in 4th on 4 points, Jenson Walker in 5th on 2 points and Alec Small bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Champions Week Finale, with Coulson leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
