Haruki Muramatsu continued his extraordinary start to the season by securing a fifth title of 2026, narrowly overcoming Christian Perez in a gripping curtain-raiser.

The Japanese virtuoso, already firmly entrenched amongst the continent’s elite operators, added yet another Asian Tour crown to an already distinguished résumé, elevating his overall tally to eight career titles. Aptly nicknamed The Rising Sun, Muramatsu illuminated proceedings in Ulaanbaatar with a consummately polished display to capture Event 13.

After surviving two fiercely competitive opening encounters, the 49-year-old surged through the latter stages with remarkable authority, surrendering just two further legs across his next four matches en route to the final. There, he once again exhibited supreme composure and technical refinement, edging past the ever-dangerous Perez in a captivating finale that remained delicately poised throughout.

The 32-year-old produced a succession of highly accomplished displays, eliminating compatriots Haruki Muramatsu and Tomoya Goto before prevailing in a dramatic last-leg decider against Sakai in the final.

Rounding off another frenetic and fiercely competitive weekend, a third different Japanese victor emerged as Motomu Sakai emphatically claimed the final title on offer, condemning Christian Perez to a second runners-up finish of the weekend.

Sakai proved utterly sensational in the concluding showpiece, producing a breathtaking 108.91 average to whitewash the Filipino star and complete an almost immaculate Mongolian campaign for Japanese darts.

Remarkably, despite securing just a solitary event victory thus far this season, Motomu Sakai currently sits atop the Asian Tour Order of Merit, aided considerably by two runners-up finishes and a succession of consistently formidable performances throughout the campaign.
