Once again, the latest Australian Darts Association Tour proved to be all about just two men who emphatically dominated proceedings Down Under.
Australian leading lights on the circuit, Brody Klinge and Raymond Smith not only secured two titles apiece, but remarkably contested all four finals across the weekend in a compelling exhibition of consistency, quality and competitive resilience.

Back on the opening weekend in Mandurah, the narrative had been almost identical, with the pair sharing all four tournaments crowns between them. In Queensland, symmetry once again prevailed as Klinge captured the opening two events in commanding fashion.

His first title arrived courtesy of a dramatic last-leg decider in the final against Smith. At one stage, the contest developed into a relentless exchange of momentum, with the pair trading braces of legs in a pulsating showdown before the Victorian edged proceedings at the death.

However, later that afternoon, Smith exacted revenge and emphatically turned the tables on his compatriot. After easing past Harley Kemp, the Brisbane veteran overcame Jeremy Fagg before finally halting Klinge’s momentum in another enthralling finale which once again went the distance.
Recovering impressively from a 2-0 leg deficit, Smith ensured there would be no third consecutive defeat and duly captured his fourth title of the campaign in resilient fashion.

Sunday’s concluding event switched from a matchplay format to a set-play structure and, fittingly, culminated in yet another meeting between the weekend’s two outstanding performers.
Klinge surged into the final without surrendering a single set across either his quarter-final or semi-final encounters. Smith, meanwhile, was tested by Jeremy Fagg but once again demonstrated his composure under pressure to secure a fourth successive meeting with his increasingly familiar rival in the final.
Two sets into the decider and the pair, predictably, remained inseparable. It was perhaps only fitting that after an entire weekend of high-calibre battles between the duo, the final event would also require a deciding set. On this occasion, the Queenslander narrowly prevailed on home soil to draw level with Klinge on five seasonal titles apiece.
