Richie Burnett, Ted Evetts, Andreas Harrysson, Robert Thornton and Adam Lipscombe all secured their places in Saturday’s Double Trouble finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Neil Duff, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Burnett, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Scott Mitchell, John Henderson, Mason Whitlock, Ted Evetts and Devon Petersen, to end on 18 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Ted Evetts also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Scott Mitchell finished 3rd on 12 points, John Henderson in 4th on 10 points, Mason Whitlock in 5th on 4 points and Devon Petersen bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Andreas Harrysson topped the group overall, after winning three of his four matches, as he recorded victories against Bradley Brooks, Adam Lipscombe and Jeff Smith, with his only defeat coming against Robert Thornton, to end on 14 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Robert Thornton and Adam Lipscombe also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Thornton ending on 10 points and Lipscombe on 6 points, edging out Bradley Brooks, who despite also ending on 6 points, missed out in 4th due to leg difference, whilst Jeff Smith finished bottom on 4 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Double Trouble Week with the six players battling it out for the £5,000 top prize. Play will commence from 7:30pm BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
