Netherlands’ Jimmy Van Schie and Danny Van Trijp took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of their five matches, with the second edition of International Pairs Week commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Former Weekly Winner at the Super Series, Van Schie, was joined alongside his Dutch compatriot Danny Van Trijp as the pair took the early lead in Group A, after winning four of their five matches, as they recorded victories against Richie Burnett & Kurt Parry (Wales), Scott Campbell & Robert Thornton (Scotland), Dawson Murschell & Jeff Smith (Canada) and Carl Gabriel & Devon Petersen (South Africa), with their only defeat coming against Andreas Harrysson & Anton Ostlund (Sweden), to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Harrysson & Ostlund also ended the day on 8 points, with the pair sitting in 2nd behind Van Schie & Van Trijp due to legs won across the day, whilst Campbell & Thornton sit in 3rd on 6 points, Murschell & Smith and Burnett & Parry sitting 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each and Gabriel & Petersen sitting bottom on 0 points having suffered five straight defeats.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with leading the way thus far.
