Ashley Coleman and Robbie Martin took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Derek Coulson in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Ashley, who last appeared at the Super Series in October last year, made his return by taking the early lead in Group C after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Martyn Turner, Nico Plovier, Jonathan Platt and Tom Lonsdale, with his only defeat coming against Jamie Hughes, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Tom Lonsdale also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Coleman due to leg won across the day, whilst Jamie Hughes sits in 3rd on 6 points, Martyn Turner in 4th on 4 points, with Nico Plovier and Jonathan Platt sitting 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
In Group B, Robbie Martin took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Colin Osborne, Darren Webster and Jim Widmayer, with his only defeat coming against Jamie Owens, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.

Elsewhere, Jamie Owens also ended the night on 6 points, but sits in 2nd behind Martin on leg difference, whilst Darren Webster sits in 3rd on 4 points, with Colin Osborne and Jim Widmayer sitting 4th and 5th on 2 points each.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Derek Coulson in Saturday’s finale, with Coleman and Martin taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT.
