Drayton Joins MODUS Champions Week Darts Honour Roll

Jack Drayton was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Champions Week at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Steve Green in the final and picking himself up £20,000 in prize money.

Jack, who entered the finale having finished 3^rd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly defeated Simon Stevenson before suffering a defeat to Steve Green.

However, the Englishman did progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Radek Szaganski, and from there Drayton dispatched of his Polish opponent, 4-1, to book his place in the final.

In the decider, Drayton came up against Steve Green for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Neil Duff in the last four, and in a battle which became a nervy affair, it was Drayton who took his revenge for earlier in the evening to secure a 4-3 victory on Double Eight to pick up the Series 13 crown. Jack joins the roll of honour of Champions Week Winners as well as collecting the £20,000 top prize.

The MODUS Super Series returns on Monday with the latest edition of International Pairs Week, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with a field to be confirmed in due course.
