WEEK five delivered a classic mix of familiar excellence, high-quality debuts and the usual Live Lounge drama. Neil Duff once again underlined why he remains the most successful player in MODUS Super Series darts, claiming a record-extending eighth weekly title on Finals Night (Series 15) in Portsmouth. The Northern Irishman defeated Dmitrii Rogov 4-1 in the final to secure the £5,000 top prize and another place in Champions Week.
Through the Week
Group A set a competitive tone early. Neil Duff took the early lead on Day One, but German Daniel Klose produced the outstanding three-day campaign. Both men finished on 20 points from 15 matches, yet Klose’s superior leg difference (+20 versus Duff’s +11) and a lofty 93.25 average earned him the sole automatic qualification spot.
Ziggy Schenk’s perfect final day (including a 4-3 win over Duff) pushed him into third and kept the group lively, while former World finalist Andy Hamilton and debutant Noa-Lynn van Leuven (who managed a nine-darter during the week) completed the field.
Duff dropped into the later groups but showed typical resilience.
In terms of single moments its hard to get better than perfection and standout individual moments of the entire week came on the final day of Group A, when debutant Noa-Lynn van Leuven produced a stunning nine-darter against eventual group winner Daniel Klose.
In the fifth leg of their match the Dutch star fired in successive maximums before coolly checking out 141 (T20-T19-D12) to become one a select band to hit a broadcast perfect leg. Although the leg ultimately proved a mere consolation in a 2-4 defeat and van Leuven finished bottom of the group, the historic achievement provided a memorable highlight amid an otherwise challenging Super Series debut.
In Group B ‘The Duff Man’ regained control, topping the table to book his Finals Night place. Russian Dmitrii Rogov produced a strong debut week of his own, finishing level on points with Duff in one phase of play and ultimately joining him in the Saturday field alongside Martyn Turner.

Perhaps the standout story of the week was Danny Goddard. Making his Super Series debut, “The Codfather” was virtually untouchable in Group C, sweeping through and looking every inch a future weekly winner. Justin Smith also advanced strongly from that section.
By Friday evening the Finals Night line-up was complete: Daniel Klose, Danny Goddard, Justin Smith, Neil Duff, Dmitrii Rogov and Martyn Turner – a blend of established names and exciting newcomers that promised fireworks.

Finals Night Darts – The Full Story
Saturday’s showpiece began with the usual six-player group stage that feeds the semi-finals.Justin Smith made an early statement, causing an upset by defeating Group A winner Daniel Klose 4-2. Neil Duff opened with a solid 4-2 win over Martyn Turner, while Rogov edged Smith 4-3 in a tight contest. Turner then produced one of the night’s best performances to eliminate debutant Goddard 4-3, and Rogov continued his fine form by beating Klose 4-2.
Duff completed the group stage with a 4-2 success against Goddard.That left a high-quality final four: Duff vs Smith and Rogov vs Turner.In the semi-finals Duff was ruthless, whitewashing Justin Smith 4-0 (or 4-1 according to some reports – sources vary slightly on the exact score, but the dominance was clear). On the other side of the draw Rogov reached his first Super Series final with a 4-2 victory over Turner, who had earlier posted a fine 161 checkout.
The final pitted experience against emerging talent. Duff’s know-how in weekly finales proved decisive. He controlled the match from the outset and closed out a convincing 4-1 victory over Rogov to claim the title.
Looking Ahead
Duff’s latest success further cements his status as the all-time leader in weekly Super Series titles. Goddard’s near-perfect debut marked him as one to watch in future weeks, while Rogov’s run to the final on debut suggests he will be a regular threat.The MODUS Super Series returns on Monday with Week Six, Group A getting underway from 9:30am BST. Series 14 Champion Derek Coulson headlines the opening group as the hunt for Champions Week places continues.
