Live League: Adams grabs finals spot on leg difference.

Martin Adams edged past Robert Owen to secure his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning two of his five matches, as Group A came to a close, with the fields being confirmed for Groups B and C for Week 3 of Phase 1 at the Online Darts Live League.

Adams, who entered Wednesday’s play having completed a clean sweep on the opening day of Group A on his return to the Live League, won just two of his five matches, in recording victories over Diogo Portela and Mike Warburton, with his three defeats coming against Robert Owen, Kevin Painter and Gary Robson, to finish on 14 points out a possible 20 overall and securing an automatic place into Saturday’s finale.

Elsewhere, Robert Owen narrowly missed out on an automatic spot in the finale, despite also finishing on 14 points overall, but behind Adams on leg difference, and will compete in Group B, alongside Gary Robson, who finished 3^rd overall on 12 points. The duo will be joined in Group B by Scott Williams, Paul Hogan and Shaun Griffiths.

Mike Warburton, Kevin Painter and Diogo Portela will all compete in Group C, after the pair finished 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Portela standing in for the withdrawal of Jason Hogg. The trio will be joined in Group C by Stephen Burton, Graham Usher and Darryl Pilgrim.

Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
