Peter Jacques, Martin Adams, Robert Thornton, Greg Ritchie and Rob Collins all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Daniel Klose, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Jacques, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, completed a clean sweep, with five wins from five to top the group overall, as he recorded victories over Martin Adams, Jordan Brooks, Janis Mustafejevs, Ryan Murray and Mark McGeeney, to end on 18 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Martin Adams also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 16 points, with Ryan Murray and Mark McGeeney finishing 3rd and 4th respectively on 10 points each, Jordan Brooks in 5th on 6 points, as Janis Mustafejevs suffered yet another five defeats from five, as he finished bottom on 0 points.
In Group B, Robert Thornton topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep on Friday evening, with four wins from four, as he recorded victories over Greg Ritchie, Stephen Burton, Ryan Palmer and Rob Collins, to end on 12 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Greg Ritchie and Rob Collins also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Ritchie ending on 12 points and Collins on 10 points, as Ryan Palmer finished 4th on 4 points and Stephen Burton bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 10 with the six players battling it out for just 1 spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
