Harrysson’s Wonder Week

Andreas Harrysson was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Six at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Richie Howson in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.

Harrysson, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, began the night by winning just one of his group phase matches, he defeated Richie Howson in his opener, before suffering a defeat to Haupai Puha.

However, the Swedish Star did progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against John Henderson, and from there, Harrysson defeated ‘The Highlander’ 4-1 to book his spot in the final.

In the decider, Harrysson came up against Richie Howson for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Adrian Gray in the last four, and once again, ‘Dirty Harry’ was victorious, as he defeated ‘The Owl’ 4-1 to seal his place in Champions Week and pick up the £5,000 weekly first prize.

The final illustrated what was a remarlable display overall from the Swede. Andreas had hit a 9 dart finish on Monday amd followed up with clean sweep performances, on Tuesday and Wednesday, to qualify for finals night with ease.

The Modus Super Series will return in the new year of 2024, with the Week Seven field to be announced in due course.
