Scott Taylor was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week 12 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating John O’Shea in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Taylor, who entered the finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Ross Montgomery and John O’Shea to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against David Evans, and from there, Taylor defeated his fellow compatriot, 4-3, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Taylor came up against John O’Shea for the second time on the night.
The Joker had defeated Sebastian Bialecki in the last four but, once again, the 32-year-old from Bolton came out on top in the battle between two former PDC Tour Card Holders.
Taylor whitewashing the Irishman O’Shea 4-0 to seal his place in Champions Week and pick up the £5,000 weekly first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday for the start of Champions Week, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
