Andrew Davidson was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 11 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Aden Kirk in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Davidson, who entered the finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday Evening, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches. The ADC Qualifier had impressed on his appearances in Portsmouth and now looked to go all the way.
The Scot defeated Aden Kirk and Devon Petersen to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he then came up against Tommy Morris, and from there, Davidson dispatched ‘The Gun’ 4-2 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Davidson came up against Aden Kirk for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Scott Taylor in the last four, and once again.
The Scotsman was victorious, as he defeated ‘Captain Kirk’ in a last leg decider, 4-3, to seal his place in Champions Week for the first time, as well as picking up the £5,000 weekly first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 12 and the first of three days of Group A commencing, with a field including a trio of Former PDC Tour Card Holders in Ron Meulenkamp, Joe Murnan and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez.
