John O’Shea took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week Three of Series Nine commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Former Winmau World Master O’Shea, who last appeared at the Super Series back in June, made his return by winning four matches from five and he bids to reach Champions Week.
The Irishman recorded victories against Andy Hamilton, Bram Van Dijk, Bradly Roes and Adam Paxton, with his only defeat coming against Carl Sneyd, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Carl Sneyd also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind O’Shea due to leg difference, whilst Bram Van Dijk sits in 3rd on 6 points, Adam Paxton in 4th on 4 points, with Bradly Roes and Andy Hamilton sitting 5th and 6th respectively on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with O’Shea leading the way thus far.
