The field has now been confirmed for the 2025 BetGoodwin WSD Seniors World Championship! Graham Usher, Richie Burnett and Mike Huntley joined the 13 already confirmed players over the weekend.
Usher was the first to seal his spot at the third WSD World Championship from the Circus Tavern, as he took a 6-3 win against James Richardson in the final of the first qualifying event. ‘The Gambler’ reward is a first round tie in Purfleet against Richard-Eirig Rowlands.
Former PDC tour card holder Usher was then joined by the former World Champion Richie Burnett, who rallied from 4-1 down to take a superb 6-4 win against Steve Hine in the final of qualifier two, and ‘The Prince of Wales’ sealed a cracking-looking first round tie against Kevin Painter.
The third and final qualifier was Mike Huntley, with the Welsh WSD regular defeating John Mann convincingly in their final, 6-1, to grab the final ticket to the Tavern, and a meeting with Kevin Edwards.
Well done to the trio who played their way through very high qualify fields.
