The final weekend of darts action on the PDC Europe Next Gen Tour took place this weekend in Sindelfingen, with the players looking to secure their spots at the Super League in November.
The top 16 players qualify, along with the top four unqualified youth players. This is then topped off with four play-off winners from the new PDC Europe Start system. The majority of the spots are already confirmed having played 14 of 16 events, but there was certainly still a lot to play for.

Event 15
The penultimate event of the year took place on Saturday, where the 237 participants competing in the master-out format, where players could finish legs on trebles as well as doubles. This drastic change in format means there are often a few upsets along the way.
Deep runs from the likes of Kevin Jußen and Tim Scholz gave opportunities to reach the Super League, while Marcel Hausotter managed to go all the way.
Having beating Raymond van Barneveld on the European Tour in 2026, ‘Hausi’ was sat outside of the Super League spots prior to the final weekend. A run all the way to the title not only boosted him into the Top 16, but he went nineth, wrapping up his spot with an event to spare with a brilliant performance in the Final!
It was a career third title on the Next Gen Tour for Marcel Hausotter, but a first since it’s inaugural season in 2024, where he picked up two titles.

Event 16
Sunday’s final event saw a lot of nerves, with this being the last chance for players to get themselves into the all-important top 16. The event was in the most common format for the Next Gen Tour – FA Cup. This means there was a draw after each round, much like the UK Open, preventing players from mapping out their route to the final.
As the event entered it’s final stages, there was only a few names capable of gatecrashing the Super League spots. Tim Weber losing in the Quarter-Finals meant that only Dragutin Horvat had that capability, but he had to go all the way to win the title.
Having previously never missed the Super League in each of it’s 13 previous seasons, Horvat did the unthinkable, beating Tour #1 Jaimy van de Weerd in a deciding leg to claim his first title of the year, storming into the Super League yet again.
However, this meant heart break for Kevin Jußen, who was sat in the final spot for hours, until the very last dart of the 16-tournament season!

Lenny Schüter (78.9) 5-3 Kilian Hohnstedt (74.6)

Patrick Reisenegger (83.1) 5-4 Tim Scholz (78.3)
