Graham Jenkins took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week 12 of Series 11 commencing at the MODUS Super Series.
Jenkins, who was making his debut at the Super Series, took the early lead after winning four matches from five, as he recorded victories against David Davies, Danny Van Trijp, Cameron Carolissen and Par Riihonen, with his only defeat coming against Raymond Smith, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, three players in Cameron Carolissen, Danny Van Trijp and Raymond Smith ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, whilst David Davies sits in 5th on 4 points and Par Riihonen bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats.
Former Champion Smith had to recover from a shocking start as the Australian was whitewashed by Carolissen. But, The Guru, as Smith is known, re grouped and defeated Davies, Riihonen, and Jenkins before falling to Van Trijp in the days final game.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Jenkins leading the way thus far.
