Drayton and Green Lead MSS Darts Group Stage

Steve Green and Jack Drayton took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Derek Coulson in Saturday’s Champions Week Finale at the MODUS Super Series darts.

In Group B, Jack Drayton took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Jamai Van den Herik, Simon Stevenson and Keanu Van Velzen, with his only defeat coming against Neil Duff, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far. 

Elsewhere, Simon Stevenson also ended the night on 6 points, but sits in 2^nd behind Drayton on leg difference, whilst Neil Duff and Jamai Van den Herik sit 3^rd and 4^th on 4 points each, with Keanu Van Velzen sitting bottom on 0 points having suffered four straight defeats.

Green, who entered Champions Week having won Week One back in January, made a perfect return to the Live Lounge by taking the early lead in Group C, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Chas Barstow, Nathan Potter, Radek Szaganski, Graham Hall and Scott Taylor, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.

Elsewhere, Chas Barstow ended the day in 2^nd on 6 points, whilst three players in Scott Taylor, Radek Szaganski and Nathan Potter sit 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th on 4 points each, with Graham Hall sitting bottom on 2 points. 

The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Derek Coulson in Saturday’s Champions Week Finale, with Green and Drayton taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
