You may have noticed the DARTSWORLD logo popping up during the World Cup of Darts. We are always proud to see it as DW has a wide range of team members, whether they work directly on our publications and platforms, at our events, or if they wear our logo in one of the many variations of competitive darts now available. We love little more than knowing their success and wishing them even more:
Sebastian Bialecki has undergone something of a transformation over the past couple of seasons. From an extended spell of being unable to buy a Pro Tour win Seb leapfrogged to winning a Players Championship and putting up a tremendous show at the Ally Pally. In 2026 he seems to have decided to be less feast or famine a little more straight down the middle.

Regular qualifications for events and solid, if less spectacular runs have been the order of the day. The Bolt’s next opportunity to shine in front of a massive audience is during the World Cup of Darts. His pairing with Krzysztof Ratajski has bookmakers looking nervous!
Both Gemma Hayter and Natalie Gilbert have claimed WADC titles since our last Team News sheet and, while both have also been unhappy to miss out on other occasions, we are sure they will keep recording victories and impressive performances on stages across the spectrum of the newly booming women’s darts.
Congratulations to AJ Urmston-Toft, our roving reporter, player and all round tungsten polymath. AJ has stepped into a new role as a main commentator and presenter for the ADC and is now a regular site at their Winmau Tour events. A width of darts knowledge not often encountered – once ranked in the World top 32 (BDO) players and a naturally light and humorous manner mean we may see much more of him in front of camera and hear more of his ‘dulcet’ Manchester tones behind the microphone.
Rebecca Hughes recently stepped back from the DW family after helping to save the publication following our rescue bid in 2020. She has fulfilled a wide-ranging role from customer and subscriber management through to website and shop development.
This was an especially difficult time and often Rebecca had to use instinct and initiative, never more so than during Covid-19. Her efforts went a long way toward the stabilisation of DartsWorld and enabling it to move forward its new and thriving direction.
We would like to place on record our thanks to Rebecca and wish her the very best of luck and every success, in both personal and professional life, going forward.
Editors note: Since the original publication of this piece Oskar Lukasiak (above) was spotted wearing the DW logo to victory over the South Africans in the Swedish World Cup opener.
